Help-my body seems to be giving off a "smell"
Someone else had recently posted about a similar issue, but I can't find the post. Some of the suggestions were to see a dentist & make sure there are no gum or tooth infections responsible for the smell or see a doctor about a possible sinus infection.
I've never tried it, but I've heard about Devrom & chlorophyl.
Are you taking probiotics? I highly recommend them...they kill a plethora of nasty bacteria that could be causing foul odors.
Also, I agree with Red's suggestion to try an elimination diet to see if it's something you're eating.
Best of luck.

People have posted good responses, but how's your gas been? Are you eating too many simple carbs, which is causing gas, leaving a residual odor in your underclothing? That DS fart smell can really linger, and I know that carbs have been a bit of an issue for you before, right?

LOL. I can believe it. Sugar alcohols give the worst smell too - kind of like petroleum undertones. If I really watch the flour/sugar/mallitol, my farts smell no worse than anybody else's.

Thanks Julie, The gas and BM issues have really gotten better or maybe it is me getting better abou****ching my carb intake. I really do not have gas very often at all and this smell is not that kind of an odor, but I sure know what you mean about it lingering. They describe the smell as a sweet, pungent over powering smell with almost a metallic smell.

I posted about this a couple of weeks ago. It was not my breath and I doubted I was in ketosis at 6 month post op.
The friend who said I smelled said she could no longer smell that smell after I made a serious and ongoing effort to increase my fluids.
Even if you think you are getting enough fluids I would recommend giving a real try at majorly increasing your fluids and see if that helps. It certainly can't hurt.
